Reviews
Cameron Douglas MS: 94/100. A fine savoury core with layers of spice and mineral, a hint of new wood with the core of the wine being the fruit and textured complexity. Aromas and flavours of fresh and fried raspberry, a mix of boysenberry and cherry then layers of savoury spices from dried sage to thyme. A dry wine with medium weight, a satin smooth touch then contrasting needle point tannins. Beautifully balanced and lengthy. Ready to drink from day of purchase through 2031+.
Sam Kim, Wine Orbit: 93/100. Sweetly ripe and fragrant, the bouquet presents aromas of ripe plum, wild strawberry, thyme,
clove, and roasted nuts. The palate offers succulent fruit flavours with silky texture and layers of
fine tannins, making it well-balanced with a lingering, supple finish. At its best: now to 2028.
Senior Editor
Jacobo García Andrade for JamesSuckling.com: 92/100. Steely and vibrant, with aromas of crunchy red currants and subtle spices. The palate is medium-bodied, flavorful, round and fleshy but precise, with good concentration in the finish. Drink now.
Tasting note
On the palate, taste memories of ripe red berries and dark cherries, so typical for vibrant Central Otago Pinot Noir, come to mind. This sensory experience is supported by an elegant, well-balanced structure of fine tannins and a nice vein of gentle acidity which leads to a juicy mouthfeel. A very appealing, delicious medium-bodied wine of great length.

Additional information
Wine type: red wine
Varietal: 100% Pinot Noir
Food match: Great with salmon or game meat such as venison. Dishes like cassoulet or duck with olives, chargrilled steak, and mushroom risotto.
Vineyard site: Bannockburn, Central Otago, New Zealand.
Vintage 2023: Central Otago's growing season was nothing short of a dream. After a slightly dry start, flowering and fruit set were very good. Late rains before harvest were handled easily as the fruit was in clean, healthy condition.
Winemaking: The grapes were harvested by parcel (clone) based on flavor and skin ripeness. Each clone was fermented separately after a period of cold soak to enhance color extraction and aromatics. The wine was matured in French oak barrels (10% new), blended, and bottled. 100% malolactic fermentation was completed.
