Varietal: 100% Central Otago Pinot Noir

Food match: Try it alongside game birds such as quail, turkey, and duck; with a fillet of New Zealand salmon or trout; or equally with pork, lamb or venison. It could also be paired with some light Italian dishes.

Vineyard site: Bannockburn sub-region, Central Otago, New Zealand.

Vintage 2024: The season was similar to 2023, with a hot and dry January/February followed by a cooler March which compacted the harvest. Despite some challenges like frost, wind, and lower-than-average growing degree days, balanced ripening was achieved.

Winemaking: Grapes were harvested by parcel (clone) on flavors and skin ripeness. Each clone was fermented separately after undergoing a period of cold soak to enhance color extraction and aromatics using wild indigenous yeast and partial whole bunch. The wine was matured in French oak barrels (20% new) for 12 months before being blended and bottled in September. Malolactic fermentation was 100% completed.
