Beautifully perfumed with notes of nectarine, lemon, passionfruit and hints of herbs. The grapes were harvested in pristine conditional at optimal ripeness, and the resulting wines display great fruit purity and generosity. From the Maori winery te Pa in Marlbrough.

The 2026 te Pa Sauvignon Blanc is intensely perfumed with notes of nectarine, guava, feijoa, fresh peas and nettle. Wine Orbit
It's gorgeously expressed on the nose, showcasing kiwifruit, feijoa, passionfruit, and kaffir lime characters, leading to a powerfully expressed palate that's juicy and exuberant. Wonderfully composed with excellent fruit purity, leading to a persistent, satisfying finish. At its best: now to 2029.

A wine that always punches above its weight with a pungent bouquet of white flowers and tropical fruits, white pineapple and fresh cape gooseberry, citrus peel and fresh herbs. A just dry wine with a tickle of sweetness, the backbone of acidity salivates leaving behind a saline quality as well as framing the core flavours of citrus and gooseberry. Well made and rather delicious with best drinking from late 2026 through 2030.

Type: White wine
Grape variety: 100% Sauvignon Blanc
Food match: A great match with all seafood, particularly shellfish. The crisp flavours work well with fresh summer salads or soft goat cheese. Try this wine with mussel ravioli in a lemon beurre blanc sauce.
Wine region: Marlborough, New Zealand
Vineyards: 50% Redwood Hills, Awatere Valley and 50% MacDonald Family Home Vineyard, Wairau Bar. The MacDonald Home Vineyard fruit comes from some of the historically best-performing blocks. The Seaside Block, with its sandy and shingly soils, contributes passionfruit and tropical flavours with bright acidity. A small proportion comes from blocks 2 and 3 on heavier soils, adding palate weight and depth. The naturally low-vigour, low-yielding Redwood Hills Vineyard in the Awatere Valley produces wines with strong textural and mineral elements. This cooler hillside site contributes concentration, fresh acidity and great length.
Vintage: The 2026 growing season culminated in an excellent Marlborough harvest, delivering fruit with outstanding purity, intensity and balance. A prolonged period of warm, dry weather through the latter stages of ripening allowed the grapes to develop exceptional flavour concentration while preserving the bright natural acidity that defines the region. Lower crop levels contributed to wines of impressive depth and varietal expression.
Winemaking: The blocks selected for the te Pa blend were historically low-yielding sites chosen for their superior fruit expression and concentration. The blocks were fermented separately in stainless steel tanks before blending and ageing on light lees.
