Framingham Sauvignon Blanc is made to be typically Marlborough in style, with a few great tasting twists. The focus is on the texture of the wine, giving it some richness and mouthfeel so that it is not lean or austere. This is one wine that won't give it all away on the first sip.

Reviews
NZ Wine Rater (Steve Bennett MW, Lynette Hudson): 94/100. Funky, complex and vinous on the nose with aromas of red capsicum, lemon rind, and wet stones, punctuated by sulphide-derived characters of gunflint and burnt match. A full-flavoured, rather dramatic wine to taste with a rich, viscous, textural mid-palate and a powerful, punchy, engaging finish. Bravo.
Cameron Douglas MS: 93/100. Aromatic, pungent, pure, ripe, herbaceous and fresh bouquet. Classic and varietal. Flavours on the palate include fresh apple and lemon. There’s a lime and cape gooseberry along with fresh basil and thyme. Acidity is high, core fruit flavours touch the palate in all corners, a lovely example with ripeness and varietal pungency. Best drinking from 2023 through 2029.
VINOUS - Rebecca Gibb MW: 91/100. Framingham doesn't like straitlaced wine styles. While this 2022 Sauvignon Blanc doesn't seem to stray too far from the mainstream with its zesty personality and dry, crisp pizzazz, delve further, and there's more going on. There's a little more grip and a wild, slightly grainy texture most likely due to some fermentation on skins and time spent inside both oak and acacia barrels. Yes, there's both green notes and pineapple tropicality but it's just part of a layered wine that has more than a fruit bowl to offer. I enjoy the fact that you discover a new facet to this wine every time you take another mouthful.
James Suckling (JamesSuckling.com): 90/100. Very aromatic with gooseberries, currant leaves, lime zest and some flinty reduction to it. Crisp and tangy with a medium body and bright acidity. Toned, citrusy finish. Sustainable. Drink now.
Tasting Note
Expressive aromatics, with flint, meyer lemon, and a subtle short bread note. A well-rounded palate with volume and mouthfeel. Flavours of passion and stone fruit, sweet herbs and a fine boned acid finish.
