product description

Framingham Pinot Noir 2018

review Framingham Pinot Noir 2018Wine Orbit (Sam Kim): 94/100. It's seductively complex on the nose showing sweet cherry, smoked game, cedar, clove and dark mushroom characters. The palate displays excellent weight and intensity, yet remains elegant and sophisticated with savoury undertones. It's long and silky with multi-layered mouthfeel. At its best: now to 2023.

review Framingham Pinot Noir 2018Cameron Douglas MS: 93/100 (Excellent). Totally attractive bouquet of Pinot with aromas of sweet black cherry, darker plum and old raspberry bush. There’s a fine earthy mineral quality with scents of river pebble and silt. Oak is sweet and vanilla scented. On the palate - plush, fresh, youthful, fruity and dry with flavours of berries and soils that reflect the nose. Medium to fine tannins with a fine chalk dust texture, plenty of acidity keeping the palate fresh and adding texture. Lengthy finish, balanced and well made - lots to like and enjoy with this wine. Best drinking from end of 2020 through 2025+.

Tasting Note

Earthy nose, subtle oak,  reminiscent of smoked meat, with light florals and vibrant light red fruits. Subtle dark cherry and red berry flavors with savoury mineral/graphite-like notes. Fine, well integrated and delicate tannin structure.
